Harpa Fönn Sigurjónsdóttir

Project Management in the Field of Contemporary Art

Harpa graduated with a master’s degree in law from the School of Social Sciences at the University of Iceland in February 2008, with emphasis on intellectual property rights. Her final thesis was on copyright of musical work according to Icelandic law. Harpa participated in meetings with EFTA’s IPR Group in Brussels in 2008. She taught drama and music classes as a volunteer in a children’s school in Uganda for two semesters and was a director and a project manager for an agriculture project in Soroti in 2009. Harpa has undertaken a number of projects where she has provided legal advice and drawn up contracts within the field of visual arts, music, design and film making. Moreover she has produced and managed numerous projects in the field of music, theatre and films. Currently Harpa is a third semester entrepreneurship student at Reykjavik University, parallel to her full time work on operating and developing FRAFL.

Ayanna Burrus

MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies, Newcastle University (UK), 2006

Ayanna holds an MA degree in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University (UK) and a BA in Individualized Study from New York University (US).  She is currently studying Icelandic at the University of Iceland.  Ayanna was a curatorial assistant in Fine Arts and Photography at Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 2007-2009. She has experience in art history and cultural heritage organizations, and is currently working with FRAFL in the capacity as a research assistant.
